You give us: your name, email address, and password when you create an account; optional profile details; messages you send through the platform; and organization details such as address and EIN if you run fundraisers.

Activity data: bids, watchlist items, donations, raffle entries, wins, and fulfillment details.

Automatically: device and browser information, pages visited, and referral or campaign parameters (such as UTM tags) used to understand how people find us.

Payment details: card payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive limited information such as the card brand and last four digits — never the full card number.

To operate auctions and giving campaigns; to process payments and payouts; to send transactional emails such as bid confirmations, outbid alerts, winner notices, receipts, and donation letters; to provide support; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to improve the product.

If you opt in, we send marketing emails about new auctions, causes, and Kind Bidder news. You can unsubscribe at any time from any marketing email or in your email preferences. Opting out of marketing does not stop important transactional emails about auctions you are watching, bidding on, or have won.

When you bid, donate, or win, the hosting organization receives the information needed to contact you and fulfill your item — typically your name, email, and fulfillment details. We also use service providers for hosting, database and authentication, email delivery, payments, and analytics. We do not sell your personal information.

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions and to measure site usage with tools such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and the Meta pixel. These tools help us understand traffic and improve the experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Kind Bidder collects mobile phone numbers only from users who explicitly opt in to receive text messages. Mobile information collected for SMS purposes will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Message frequency varies. We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and afterwards as needed for legal, tax, accounting, and record-keeping purposes, including issued donation letters, which are archived as permanent records.

Data is stored with access controls that limit each account to its own records, and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

You can view and update your profile, manage saved payment methods, adjust email preferences, and request deletion of your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us through the in-app messaging center to make a request.

Kind Bidder is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
